Toowoon Bay May 2018

With Eugenie's reno taking up more of our weekends and Winter upon us, getting away one last time was essential to my sanity.

Pet friendly, close to home and right on the beach, Toowoon Bay Holiday Park ticked all the boxes for a weekend beach escape.

Shane had to work so it was a girlie weekend for Annie, Claire and me πŸ˜‹Shane towed us down on Friday and picked us up again on Sunday.

Exploring the coastline

With only myself and a a hound to worry about, I set up pretty quickly and took Claire down to the beach.  She doesn't do "bath" but does "swim" with much finesse. As a puppy she cried and cowered at the beach. We were shattered as we spend so much time in the water in summer. It took a couple of years to get her used to the "sound" of the waves. Now, we can't keep her out of the surf.

It was pretty rough out there and I did have to get a little wet myself but the water was suprisingly warm. Shoes and sox were probably not the best things I could have worn on my feet on this occasion.

Someone went home barefoot . . . .

It was a great weekend.  I managed to finish off my latest "whodunnit" novel, I chatted with some lovely folks passing by on their walks down to the beach and Claire got up close and personal with the other K9 campers as well as an abundance of bush turkeys and bunny rabbits. Something for everyone.

Hi there
Where did you get your lovely fabric for the annex? Did you make these yourself?

What a wonderful story and pictures to wake up to. The camper is wonderful and the park is perfect! Love the spoiled little doggy too. Keep making memories!
